Sue Solitaire was born in New York and transplanted to Florida at the tender age of three.

Sue said, " My first artistic inspiration was at the age of five when I walked into my kindergarten class to see the blackboard filled with my teachers artwork of rolling hills, trees and beautiful flowers".

"I vividly remember taking in a gasp of air and saying, I want to draw like that", Sue recalls.The teacher, who indeed was an artist, was her art teacher until the sixth grade.

During High School she entered a multitude of contests, in which she always won or placed at the top. As a senior, Sues' talent earned her a scholarship to the respected Ringling School Of Art in Sarasota, Fl.

After getting married and having three children, it wasn't long before Sue was ready to get back to her creative work. Her career took her into several fields of artistic expression. She has been a visual merchandiser and manager for a national chain of stores. A design consultant for a well known interior design company and the owner and director of "By Sue', an event company." Art Of Solitaire" came about because of her love as well as drive to create and beautify homes and home decor. This, above all, has been her most rewarding endeavor.
